The signing comes after the club received permission that Onitiri would be allowed to play in Tuesday’s County Cup tie at Harrogate Town.

Regular number one Jon Worsnop picked up an injury in last Saturday’s victory at Worcester City, and his deputy Ed Hall is cup-tied, having played for Evo-StikNorthern Premier League First Division North outfit Brighouse Town in an earlier round of the competition.

Avenue have also moved to recall defender Harry Coates from his loan spell with NPL First Division North side Hyde United.

Coates, a former Harrogate Town player, was initially loaned to Hyde in October and has made seventeen appearances during his time at Ewen Fields.
