Nineteen-year-old Joe Collins has been released by Scottish Premier Leaguers Dundee United and has joined Blue Square South side Eastleigh on non-contract basis.

Collins, capped at youth level by the Republic of Ireland, was released by Barclays Premier League Portsmouth at the end of last season and initially joined Dundee on trial before being handed a short-term deal.

Former Eastleigh youth and reserve team keeper Fred Toomer has also been registered on Conference forms by the Spitfires after spending this season with Sydenhams Wessex League neighbours Laverstock & Ford.
