Droylsden moved back into the play-off places in Blue Square North on Monday night, but had to be content with one point in the end from a 2-2 draw with relegation-threatened Gloucester City.
A Butcher`s Arms crowd of 244 – over a thousand down on last Saturday`s attendance when it was free to get in – saw the Bloods get off to a bad start when, after just 4 minutes, Ben Hunt took advantage of some sloppy defending and although his effort was blocked, Lee Smith was on hand to nod home.
Dave Pace`s side equalised 5 minutes before the break through, courtesy of a free kick from one of several recent new signings, Lee Ellington (pictured).
Five minutes after the restart Steve Halford gave the Bloods the lead, bundling home from close range following a corner. But with 10 minutes left Jack Harris headed home the equaliser to secure a vital point for the Tigers.
