Watson Brings Back Former Favourite
22 May 2010 09:41:00

Liam Watson, manager of Blue Square Bet Premier newcomers Southport, has brought former fans` favourite Steve Dickinson back to Haig Avenue.

Watson said: "Steve Dickinson will be coming back as our number two keeper. Steve is a legend at Southport and he decided he wanted to come back and work with myself and Chris Price.

“Dicko had several offers on the table and I am delighted we have an experienced number two keeper with a great attitude. Steve is a real club man and will add experience to our squad and will be a great support to Tony McMillan.

“We have strengthened the squad with his return and the club have also agreed to grant Steve his testimonial."

Since leaving Southport Dickinson has had spells with Alfreton Town and Bradford Park Avenue.

The signings have continued with Paul Barratt agreeing another year`s deal. The versatile wide player again increases options for Watson as he builds his squad.
