York City can reveal that forward Richard Brodie has left the club by mutual consent.

The 29-year-old re-joined the Minstermen in the summer on a one-year deal and scored 7 goals in nineteen appearances in all competitions.

During his first spell at Bootham Crescent, Brodie struck 69 goals in 165 games, including 34 in his final season, until joining Crawley Town for an undisclosed fee in August 2010.

He also includes Barrow AFC, Fleetwood Town, Morecambe, Grimsby Town, Gateshead, Hereford United, Southport and Aldershot Town amongst his former clubs.
